Nearly 1,000 Local 3 retirees attended this year's Joint Industry Board Pension Luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel in New York City. Alongside the retirees were a number of the Pension Fund trustees from both Local 3 and our electrical contractors.
JIB Pension Director Maureen Steiger welcomed the guests to the lunch and urged everyone to join one of the many Local 3 Retirees clubs. The program contained remarks from Local 3 President John Marchell, Senior Assistant Business Manager Raymond Melville, Pension Committee chairman Steven Lazarro, JIB Chairman Dr. Gerald Finkel, and Local 3 Business Manager Christopher Erikson. Business Manager Erikson stressed the importance of staying informed and active in Local 3 throughout their retirement.
As always, the Pension Luncheon was a great opportunity for so many members to come together and share a meal while reminiscing about wonderful lifelong careers in Local 3.
