On Tuesday, June 18th, Local 3 IBEW and the Diversity Committee along with the Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Memorial Association, the Educational & Cultural Trust Fund of the Electrical Industry, and the New York Electrical Contractors Association (NYECA) will host an educational forum about Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.
This event will have presentations, speeches, and videos showing the origins of Juneteenth and its place in our nation's history and African-American culture.
All Local 3 divisions, affiliated clubs, and members in good standing are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in this special occasion.
