On Monday, December 16th, the Wage & Policy Committee met in preparation for the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations that will take place in early 2025. The Negotiating Committee was selected and will be introduced at the General Membership meeting on January 9th. President Tom Cleary and Business Manager Chris Erikson gave reports that laid out a number of important issues to be addressed in the next contract, including the challenges we have faced with our Welfare Plan. As always, the focus will be protecting what we have already, while making adjustments and improvements where possible.
As the contract preparations continue, input from rank-and-file members is critical to shape our Union's proposals as we enter into collective bargaining. Members are encouraged to send in their thoughts, ideas, and proposals for the Negotiating Committee to review. Letters can be sent to:
