April is Autism Acceptance Month. The latest issue of the IBEW’s monthly Electrical Worker Online highlighted the efforts of Local 3 and the Sportsmen’s Club, as well as other IBEW locals, to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder and related needs such as health care and child care. The Sportsmen’s Club, Sword of Light Pipes and Drums Band, affiliated clubs, and Electchester residents have participated in the annual Autism Awareness Walk in Queens, in addition to community events throughout the year.
