Every two years, members of Local Union No. 3, IBEW celebrate the discovery of America by holding a festival at the Electrical Industry Center Auditorium. The Festival Committee, made up of members from all divisions represented by Local 3 was formed in the 1980’s under the guidance of the late Thomas Van Arsdale. At the time it was suggested that some way be found to honor the discovery of America and celebrate the Italian Heritage of the many members within Local 3.

This year we are once again looking forward to an evening of dining and dancing. Around the second week of October, the Auditorium will take on the look of Little Italy, with decorations and lights directly from the San Gennaro Feast. Inside, the Auditorium will be transformed into a town square with tables and refreshments surrounded by the same festival lights as the courtyard outside. The centerpiece of this “Piazza” will be the “Marketplace” display of fruits, vegetables, dried sausage, cheeses, breads, and pasta, which are the heart of Italian living. To Italians, food is life, and we live to eat. While the menu is still in planning, anyone who has been to prior events can testify that our guests are in for a culinary delight.

As in years past, tickets for this event will be made available on a first-come basis at a cost of $125.00 per person or $1,250.00 for a table of 10 people. Tickets can be secured only by mailing in the attached coupon or by calling Xenia Trocchia 718-591- 4000 Ext. 421 or emailing her at XTrocchia@Local3IBEW.org.
