As of April 28, Local 3 lost 12 members to coronavirus with dozens more hospitalized. Most of those individuals have headed home and recovered. We have lost at least 13 retirees. Please keep these members, retirees, and all those suffering in your prayers.
On Workers Memorial Day, Local 3 joined the American labor movement in mourning our brothers and sisters. The NYC Central Labor Council and NYCOSH hosted a virtual ceremony, which Fr. Brian Jordan opened with a prayer, and listed the names of workers who have succumbed to coronavirus or lost their lives on the job since April 28, 2019.
