Out at LaGuardia Airport we have over 300 people working, with a day and evening shift going, and it looks like they will be going around the clock soon and increasing manpower. There are multiple contractors on that job. It was reported that Brookfield Properties has acquired Forest City Ratner’s stake in Pacific Park and possibly taking over Greenland’s stake in the project. Also, the rebuild of Long Island College Hospital on Atlantic Avenue has been awarded to Lowy and Donnath. 2 school additions on Staten Island have started and a large service upgrade at the Staten Island Ferry has been awarded to Hellman Electric. In upper Manhattan the Riverside residential building has 150 electricians on that project. We are constantly monitoring the solar work going on and all alternative energy projects, and also the “POE” lighting is a hot topic.
