The New York Nets new training facility at Industry City.

During the past 12 months, a new state of the art practice facility for the Brooklyn Nets has been constructed in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The site is located in the heart of Industry City and sits atop building 19 with spectacular views of the Hudson River and New York City skyline. In addition to being the main training complex for the NBA team, it will be used for basketball clinics and special events for the local youth. ADCO Electric is performing the fit out of the new training facility for Gilbane Construction as well as installing all telecom, broadcast, scoreboard, audio-visual and security cable and equipment.
Building 19 has undergone a complete facelift in the past year and a half. Atlas Acon Electric has removed the World War II-era medium voltage equipment from the roof and installed new network gear within the building. In addition to the upgrade, they have also installed the new main service equipment for the Nets and other tenants within the facility. Herran Electric is upgrading the BMS system in the facility as well. This job was completed under a Project Labor Agreement.
The Brooklyn Nets are also constructing a covered parking area in the courtyard between buildings 19 and 20, as well as a 5,000 square-foot rooftop terrace for special events and team functions. Future projects include a possible retail store for the Nets and signage on the northeast corner of the facility.
