Members of the Staten Island Electrical Club and their families celebrate the holiday season with Santa at their annual party.

On Sunday, December 6, 2015 more than 40 children of all ages including members, retirees, friends and families of the Staten Island Electrical Club of Local 3, IBEW, gathered to celebrate their annual children’s holiday party. The day began at 8:00 am at the Great Kills Yacht Club, located in the Great Kills section on Staten Island, where members helped set up tables, chairs and decorated the hall.
Once the festivities started, the children were entertained with holiday music, games and balloon creations of the child’s wish, followed by an outstanding magic show. Refreshments and homemade cupcakes, brownies, cakes and cookies were enjoyed by all.
The highlight of the morning was a visit from no other than Santa Claus, (aka Vice-President of the SIEC Nicholas Siclari), a tradition Nicky continued to follow from his Dad, who played Santa for many years. Parents brought in gifts with their child’s name on it that Santa presented to them. Chairman of the holiday party Jack Russo thanked his committee for their time and hard work in making the event successful. Jack recognized past President of the SIEC, Business Representative Mike Jordan. Jack also thanked President of the SIEC Tom åÊGaravuso and the Assistant Business Manager for Construction Joseph Santigate, who were on hand with their families and enjoyed the holiday party. A good time was had by all.
