Local 3 filed a grievance regarding periodic violation of the shift clause for the day shift on the Croton project during the period of February 1, 2010 through October 31, 2014.
Discussions with Siemens Electrical have resulted in a Settlement Agreement regarding employees at that project for the above time period who worked the 8th hour at straight time during the day shift, when the shift clause was not in effect. This affects members who worked for Siemens Electrical, EJ Electric, KND Electric and Construction, Gilston Electrical Contractors, Fervent Electrical Corp., A Tech Electrical Enterprise, and Angel Electrical Construction on that project during certain weeks for the time period of February 1, 2010 through October 31, 2014.
Letters are being sent to those employees that we know were affected by this violation. The letter will state the number of shifts worked in violation of the contract and the amount owed to you.
If you do not receive a letter, but believe that you did work an eight-hour shift on this job between February 1, 2010 and October 31, 2014, you must contact Sr. Assistant Business Manager, Raymond Melville’s office and provide proof that you worked on this project.
There will be a meeting at the Joint Industry Board Auditorium on November 2, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. If you are one of the affected employees you must appear in person on November 2, 2017 with a picture ID and your union card. At that meeting, you will be required to sign a release and you will be given your check.
If you are unable to attend you must notify Sr. Assistant Business Manager Raymond Melville’s office prior to October 20, 2017.
