Lifesaving Award

Congratulations to Local 3 journeymen Christopher Nuñez and Ian Munro, who were awarded the IBEW's highest honor, the Lifesaving Award. While working on the N/Q/R/W subway line in Manhattan, brothers Nuñez and Munro saved a person who fell on the track and administered first-aid as they were trained in safety courses. The train pulled into the station only two minutes after they called for emergency responders and got the person back onto the platform. For their brave actions, they were recognized by the IBEW and at Local 3's general membership meeting. Keep making us proud!
