On August 26, 2017, the Lewis Howard Latimer Progressive Association hosted their Annual Family Day BBQ at Rye Playland. This event was attended by over 100 Latimer members and their families. They were treated to food, refreshments and a live DJ. This event was solely funded by the organization. An added special treat was free admission for over 40 children to the amusement park.
Business Representative Rick Rollins and club president Eric Rollins thanked everyone for coming out to the BBQ. President Eric Rollins stated that “the BBQ was a symbol of our appreciation for the families of our members who work so hard during the year to support this organization and our union.” He also gave a special thanks to the BBQ Chairman Anthony Spence Sr. The BBQ was a success and everyone had a great time, especially the children.
