New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli addresses Public Employees Executive Board.
From July 24th thru the 27th Local 3, IBEW Business Manager Christopher Erikson had the privilege to host Public Employees Chairman Peter Meringolo along with the Public Employees Executive Board and labor leaders from across the state at our unions’ state of the art educational facilities at Santorini.
Our Business Manager Christopher å_Erikson is the very first member of the building trades to be asked to join this very important and prestigious board. With this appointment we expand Local 3, IBEW’s influence within 75 additional unions with over 2.5 million members.
During this four-day event the Public Employees Board spoke about several important issues facing employees in today’s workforce. Some of the topics that were discussed included the New York City pension crisis and the Constitutional Convention. General Counsel Richard Mulvaney spoke about environmental friendly investments for New York City pension funds.
Also on hand to discuss the very important topics were New York State Senator Martin Golden, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and New York State å_Assemblyman Peter Abbatte Jr.
The Public Employees Executive Board members were given a guided tour of the pristine surroundings and the impeccable facilities and thoroughly expressed they enjoyed this most informative time at Santorini.
