A contingent of Local 3 leadership met with a committee of signatory contractors and the Joint Industry Board last week at the Long Island Educational Center. A number of items were discussed, including the Market Recovery and Market Expansion programs, current and future market conditions, the impact of new programs and zoning changes on the housing market, safety and training, diversity in supervision, and other industry topics. This meeting was held in advance of collective bargaining that will take place early next year, with the Local 3 Construction Agreement set to expire on April 9, 2025.
