On Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st, the Notre Dame Club of Staten Island held its 32nd annual Bread of Life Drive (BOLD). Local 3 members joined hundreds of volunteers to collect thousands of food items from schools in Staten Island and Brooklyn and distribute them to the less fortunate.
Numerous church parishes and food banks in both boroughs will benefit from these generous donations, which were distributed at Monsignor Farrell High School. The Staten Island Electrical Club and the Bedsole Kingsboro Club of Local 3 actively coordinated plans and volunteers to make this annual food drive another success — considered the largest of its kind in the country — with the assistance of Local 3 members, retirees, apprentices, and signatory contractors from across our Union’s divisions and jurisdiction.
