Every holiday season, members of the Westchester Mechanics Association volunteer at the Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center in Yonkers, New York. Some 40 volunteers installed lights and Christmas decorations outside the entrance of the Children’s Center. It goes a long way toward brightening this time of year for the children who live and go to school there.
Established in 1988 and sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Ministry Network, Elizabeth Seton’s Children operates a long-term care center and school in Yonkers and a rehabilitation center in White Plains. The Children’s Center is the nation’s largest provider of pediatric post-acute care for children with complex medical conditions.
Local 3 and Affiliated Clubs will continue volunteering and hosting events through the holiday season. See the Upcoming Events section below or make sure to check the website Calendar.
