Offshore Wind & Union Apprenticeship Open House in Brooklyn

Members and staff of Local 3, IBEW and the Joint Industry Board did public outreach at the Offshore Wind & Union Apprenticeship Awareness Open House at WindScape Brooklyn on Saturday, March 14th. This free in-person event was hosted by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) in collaboration with local labor unions, offshore wind developer Equinor, the NYC Economic Development Corporation, UPROSE, and other workforce development and community organizations.

Located across the street from the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT), Windscape Brooklyn is New York City’s first learning center for offshore wind-related education, open to visitors of all ages.
