For the 10th consecutive year, rank-and-file members of Local 3, IBEW organized a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which specializes in funding childhood cancer research. As you can imagine, this is both a fun and emotional event for everyone who participates. This year, 25 “shavees” from Local 3 got free haircuts at the fundraising event at Legends in midtown Manhattan on Saturday, September 23rd, and a few members of the Local 3 Legends team participated remotely from their own homes on the same day.
Currently, they have raised over $160,000 in 2023 with donations still coming in, which would put Local 3 Legends over the top for $1 million in 10 years. Please consider making a donation if you are able to do so.
