This Tuesday in the Electrical Industry Center Auditorium, Local 3 and the Diversity Committee will host an educational forum about Juneteenth (June 19th), the holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. We will have presentations, speeches, and videos showing the origins of Juneteenth and its place in our nation's history and in African-American culture.
All Local 3 divisions, affiliated clubs, and members in good standing are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in this event co-sponsored by the Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Memorial Association, the Educational & Cultural Trust Fund, and the New York Electrical Contractors Association (NYECA).
