We hope this email finds you all enjoying your summer. As always, I am extremely impressed and humbled by the tremendous work that you do every day. I am very excited to announce that Local 3 IBEW has decided to invest in our union's communications. We have a series of new communication tools planned. The first is this professional e-newsletter we are calling The RANK & FILE - The Electric Force that Powers Local 3 IBEW.
We will be sending this email to the membership on a regular basis with upcoming events, reports from clubs and divisions, community service, political action, bargaining updates and reminders of upcoming meetings and social outings. We have retained the UCOMM Media Group to assist us in this endeavor. UCOMM works with 35+ other local unions and labor councils in the Northeast including the Long Island Federation of Labor, IBEW 94 in New Jersey, IBEW 1049 on Long Island and IBEW 1249 just to name a few. Working with our leadership team, UCOMM is building a new mobile-friendly website with photo and video galleries, social network sharing options, news feeds and important upcoming event listings. We are also developing an app-like mobile shortcut so you can stay connected with your union when on the go.
