COPE Political Convention and General Election Endorsements

Organized labor is making a big push ahead of the midterm elections. The NYS AFL-CIO — representing 2.5 million union members in the private and public sectors and building trades — met for the annual Committee on Political Education (COPE) Convention on August 18 at the Sheraton NY Times Square Hotel in Manhattan, where delegates made endorsements in the federal, state, and local elections. The New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut state chapters of the AFL-CIO made endorsements at their respective political conventions, too.

Election Day is on November 8 nationwide.
