Please be advised that there are two important elections within Local 3, IBEW in 2017:
1.‰ÛâElection of the Election Board of Local 3
2.‰ÛâElection of Local 3 Officers
Nominations for Election of Election Board Shall Open and Close at the General Membership meeting in March, 2017.
Nominations shall take place Thursday, March 9, 2017 during the General Membership meeting, at the Joint Industry Board Auditorium, 65-35 Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, New York. The General Membership meeting is called to order at 5:00 P.M. and the nominations will commence upon the completion of the reading of the minutes and financial reports. For information on the write-in nomination procedure please call the Recording Secretary’s office at (718) 591- 4000 ext. 452.

Nominations shall take place Thursday April 13, 2017 during the General Membership meeting, at the Joint Industry Board Auditorium, 65-35 Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, New York.

Election of Election Board
Election of the Election Board of Local 3 shall take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Joint Industry Board Auditorium, 65-35 Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, NY at 5:00 P.M. No candidate for office shall be eligible to serve on this Board. No member shall be eligible to serve on the board unless they have been a member of Local 3 in continuous good standing for at least two (2) years, immediately prior to nomination. A judge and twelve (12) tellers shall be elected to serve as the Election Board.
Election of Local 3 Officers
Election of Local 3 Officers shall take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at The Jacobs K. Javits Convention Center, Special Events Hall, located on West 35th Street and 11th Ave, New York City, New York, beginning from 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
No member shall be eligible for office unless they have been a member of å_Local 3 in continuous good standing for at least two (2) years, immediately prior to nomination. Officers’ positions shall be Business Manager, President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Five (5) Executive Board positions and three (3) Examining Board positions. Absentee ballots will be available for this election if you are going to be out of our area, by writing to the Election Board at Local 3 headquarters, as soon as possible.
