Notification of the JATC’s upcoming application availability for the recruitment and selection of apprenticeship program candidates, is scheduled to begin on: Monday, June 27, 2016 at 9:00 am.
The Joint Apprentice and Training Committee (aka JATC) of the Elevator Industry of Local 3, IBEW (EE Division), will have available for “pick-up” a total of only 750 applications, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on a first come/first serve basis, beginning Monday, June 27, 2016 through Monday, July 11, 2016, except during the observance of the July 4, 2016 holiday.
There will be a total of 750 applications available for “pick-up.” Once those 750 applications have all been given out, NO additional applications will be available.
Location for picking up an application is as follows:

Please Note:
Only one (1) application will be given to each individual candidate. In order to receive one of the 750 pre-numbered applications available, you must present at the time of “pick-up:” a valid picture identification card issued by a city, state or U. S. Government agency. (Examples are: a state or government-issued driver’s license, an official city, state or government issued ID card, a U. S. passport, etc.). All 750 applications available for “pick-up,” as stated above, will be pre-numbered from 1 to 750, for recordkeeping and security purposes. Once all 750 available applications have been given out, the JATC will then develop an official “JATC master listing,” consisting of the “application number” with the corresponding “name of the person” who received that application.
Note: any completed applications received that do not correspond to the “JATC’s master listing,” will not be accepted.
Minimum Qualifications for Apprenticeship are as follows:
1.åÊåÊ Must be at least 18 years of age by no later than June 30, 2016.
2.åÊåÊ Must have received a high school diploma or GED, prior to June 30, 2016.
3.åÊåÊ Must be a legal resident of the United States.
4.åÊåÊ Must be capable of performing the physical requirements of those employed in the “elevator servicer and repairer” trade, which are: lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, work from heights up to 1000 ft., work with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic machinery & rotating equipment.
5.åÊåÊ Must successfully complete a medical and controlled substance screening examination, paid for by the JATC.
