Standing side-by-side with other labor leaders from across the country, IBEW International President Kenny Cooper addressed the 2024 Democratic National Convention that took place August 19-22 in Chicago, Illinois. On Monday, the first night of the DNC, Pres. Cooper took the stage with AFL-CIO President and fellow IBEW member Liz Shuler, SEIU President April Verrett, AFSCME President Lee Saunders, LIUNA General President Brent Booke, and CWA President Claude Cummings Jr.

“Every step of the way, Kamala Harris has been there for us,” said Pres. Cooper, representing 840,000 IBEW members. Click here to watch his speech. “She’s bringing back American manufacturing to forgotten places throughout our country. She cast the deciding vote to save our pension plans. She’s lifted our apprentices up all over the nation. And guess what? She’s not afraid to use the word union.”
