The finalists in the annual IBEW Photo Contest have been nominated, so here is your chance to vote for the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place winners and honorable mentions. Local 3 maintenance technician Victor Lopez, who was a finalist in the 2022 IBEW Photo Contest where he won honorable mention, has been named a finalist again – this time for his photo of Local 3 foreman Edward DePue inspecting production components at the New York Times printing plant in College Point, Queens.
The deadline is today, March 4th, so cast your votes right now! Winners will be announced in an upcoming issue of the IBEW’s Electrical Worker monthly newspaper.
“It’s a very intricate procedure that not only requires skill and experience, but knowledge of the working surroundings and mechanical parts,” Local 3 member Victor Lopez told the IBEW. “The electrician's life is built around precision, problem-solving, and continuous learning. This photo is a perfect example of these assets.”
