LU3 Member’s Son Completes Memorial Bike Ride Across Long Island

15-year-old Ian Hede, son of Local 3 and Colony Club member Neil Hede, accomplished a 100-mile bike ride in honor of the 13 Local 3 members and 33 retirees who have lost their lives to COVID-19. Ian started from the Electrical Industry Center in Flushing, Queens at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, and rode for about five hours to the Educational Center in Cutchogue, Long Island.
